What is the average class size? St. Francis Xavier is pleased to offer small class sizes. While small class sizes offer more individual instruction time with students, studies have also proven that students, who are assigned to smaller classes score higher on tests, receive better grades, and exhibit improved attendance. Additionally, students have the opportunity to get to know their peers better and learn from their discussions, comments and classroom contributions. What are the credentials for St. Francis Xavier School teachers? The accrediting institution requires that teachers have at least a bachelor’s degree and be licensed and certified by the State of Kansas. Not only are St. Francis Xavier Catholic School teachers licensed and certified, but some of them possess Master’s degrees and higher. What type of curriculum do you offer? St. Francis Xavier Catholic School follows the Diocese of Salina Consensus Curriculum, which is based on National Standards and is consistent with State of Kansas guidelines. Does St. Francis Xavier Catholic School offer after school care? Yes, our quality aftercare is provided daily on site by the licensed teachers from 3:25-5:30 pm. Do you have a bus service? Yes, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School provides bus service to and from school for those interested. There is no fee for this service, and transportation depends on the location of your residence. How do you collect tuition? Tuition may be paid in full directly to the school by the beginning of August each year or in 12 monthly payments through the FACTS Management Company automated payment system. If I register after the beginning of the year, do I have to pay full tuition? When registering after the beginning of the school year, tuition will be prorated to reflect only those days your student(s) attend school. What are the school hours? St. Francis Xavier students, including Kindergarten students, attend a full day of class Monday through Friday from 8:20 am until 3:25 pm. |
