Our students are very well prepared for the next grade level, transition smoothly when relocating to other schools, are often named the top recipients for academic scholarships and after graduation attend some of the most well renowned colleges and universities in the nation.
What is the average class size?
St. Xavier is pleased to offer small class sizes. While small class sizes offer more individual instruction time with students, studies have also proven that students, who are assigned to smaller classes score higher on tests, receive better grades, and exhibit improved attendance. Additionally, students have the opportunity to get to know their peers better and learn from their discussions, comments and classroom contributions. The average class size at St. Xavier School is 10 students per classroom.
Is Saint Xavier School accredited?
Yes, St. Xavier Catholic School is fully accredited and is distinguished as a dual-accredited school. St. Xavier was awarded and maintains accreditation by the Kansas State Department of Education and AdvancED. The objective of the Kansas State Department of Education is to provide all Kansas children with equal access to an advanced level of education that promotes student achievement and ensures that students are prepared for universal success. What are the credentials for St. Xavier School teachers?
The accrediting institution requires that teachers have at least a bachelor’s degree and be licensed and certified by the State of Kansas. Not only are St. Xavier School teachers licensed and certified, but half of them possess Master’s degrees.
What type of curriculum do you offer?
St. Xavier Catholic School follows the Diocese of Salina Consensus Curriculum, which is based on National Standards and is consistent with State of Kansas guidelines.
Does St. Xavier School offer after school care?
Yes, our quality aftercare is provided daily on site by the licensed teachers from 3:25-5:30 pm.
Do you have a bus service?
Yes, St. Xavier School provides bus service to and from school for those interested. There is no fee for this service, and transportation depends on the location of your residence.
How do you collect tuition?
Tuition may be paid in full directly to the school by the beginning of August each year or in 12 monthly payments through the FACTS Management Company automated payment system.
If I register after the beginning of the year, do I have to pay full tuition?
When registering after the beginning of the school year, tuition will be prorated to reflect only those days your student(s) attend school.
What are the school hours?
St. Xavier students, including Kindergarten students, attend a full day of class Monday through Friday from 8:20 am until 3:25 pm.
